  1. Use 250 gms raw mango washed and roughly chopped
  2. Take 1/2 tablespoon oil
  3. Provide 1/2 tablespoon cumin seeds
  4. Use 2 pinches asafoetida
  5. Get 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
  6. Prepare 1/4 cup jaggery
  7. Use to taste Salt according
  8. Provide 1 cup water

  1. First wash, rinse, peel the skin of raw mango and roughly chop the raw mango and keep aside. Keep all the ingredients ready.
  2. Take a pan or kadhai, add oil, as it heats add cumin seeds, once it crackle add 2 pinches asafoetida.
  3. Then add raw mango,saute it for 3 to 4 minutes on medium heat. Then add red chilli powder, salt,jaggery and water.
  4. And mix it all well nicely.
  5. Let it cook on medium to high heat. Keep stirring in between.
  6. Cook till mango becomes softened and water is reduced completely.
