The ingredients needed to make Vegetable moong dal halwa:
- Take 1/2 cup Moong dal
- You need 1/2 cup Wheat flour
- You need 1 cup Ghee
- Provide 2 1/2 cup Sugar
- Provide 10 Cashew
- Use 20 Cardamom
- Take 2 Carrot
- Use 2 Beetroot
- Prepare 1/4 cup Green peas
Instructions to make Vegetable moong dal halwa:
- Grate carrot, beetroot and cook with peas in pressure cooker. Grind in mixi with less water and keep aside
- Powder the sugar and keep aside
- Slightly roast the moong dhal. Pressure cook for 5 whistle. Drain the water. Grind and keep it separate
- Heat a pan. Add the wheat flour and roast till nice aroma comes
- Mix grinded vegetable and grinded dhal to it. Add 1 cup of water to it and mix well.
- Within minutes the grinded mixture will become solid. Then add the powdered sugar.
- Keep on stirring till it doesn't stick to the pan. Add cardomon powder. Add ghee in-between.
- Switch off the flame. Grease a plate with ghee.
- Pour the halwa in the greased plate and garnish with powdered Cashew nuts.
- Make into small pieces and store it in a clean dry container
