- You need 3/4 cup Ghee
- You need 2 medium Onion sliced
- You need 1 tbsp Garlic paste

- Take 1/2 kg Chicken

- You need 700 grams Socked rice
- Take 1/2 Yogurt
Steps to make Pulao:
- In a pan heat ghee, add onion and cook until light brown.
- Add garlic paste, green chilies and sauté for a minute.
- Add chicken and cook for 5-6 minutes.
- Add black pepper, cloves, cinnamon, black cardamom, cumin, bay leaf, fennel seeds, coriander powder, ginger, salt, red chilies and star anise. Mix it well.
- Add yogurt and cook until oil comes out.
- Add water and bring it to boil.
- Cover and cook for 8 to 10 minutes.
- Add socked rice, cover and cook until water dries out.
- Add black cumin seed, cover and cook for 10-15 minutes on a low flame.
- Serve hot with raita and salad.
