The ingredients needed to prepare Aayush kadha Modak:
  1. Get 1 cup desiccated coconut
  2. Prepare 1/2 cup milk powder
  3. Get 1/2 cup popped rice flour
  4. Use 1/2 cup Gulkand
  5. Take 1 cup maza cold drink
  6. Provide 1 tsp aayush kadha powder(it contains Holy basil, cinnamon, Ginger powder, Black pepper, Tinospora cordifolia, Withania somnifera)
  7. You need 1 tsp salt
  8. Take 10-15 Holy basil leaves
  9. You need 1 inch ginger
  10. Take 2 tbsp jaggery
  11. Take pinch Green food colour
  12. Take As needed butter
Steps to make Aayush kadha Modak:
  1. Take a pan on low flame and add butter then add desiccated coconut and saute well. Add jaggery and mix well.
  2. Add 1/2 cup maza drink and mix well.
  3. In grinder add holy basil leaves, ginger and 2 tbsp maza drink and make fine paste and add this paste in pan and mix well.
  4. Add aayush kadha powder and salt.
  5. Add popped rice flour and mix well.
  6. Add 4-5 drop of green food colour in pan and mix well.
  7. Keep that mixture at room temperature for 10 minutes
  8. After that add 1/2 cup of milk powder in that mixture and mix well.
  9. Take modak mould and grease with butter and place the coconut mixture on the mould surface. Add gulkand as a stuffing and close with coconut mixture and demould it.
  10. Keep modak in fridge for an hour.
