The benefits of healthy eating are these days being given more publicity than ever before and there are good reasons for doing this. Poor diet is a contributing factor in diseases such as heart disease and hypertension which can put a drain on the economy. Although we’re always being advised to adopt healthy eating habits, it is also easier than ever to depend on fast food and other convenience items that are not good for us. In all likelihood, a lot of people believe that it takes a lot of work to eat healthily and that they will need to drastically alter their lifestyle. Contrary to that information, people can modify their eating habits for the better by carrying out some small changes.

Initially, you will have to be extremely careful when food shopping that you don’t unthinkingly put things in your basket that you no longer wish to eat. For instance, if you have cereal for breakfast, do you ever stop to see what the sugar and salt content is before purchasing? A superb healthy alternative can be porridge oats which have been found to be great for your heart and can give you good sustainable energy each day. If you’d rather not eat oatmeal on its own, you can easily mix in fresh fruits that have other healthy nutrients and as such, one modest change to your diet has been achieved.

Thus, it should be fairly obvious that it’s not hard to add healthy eating to your everyday life.

We hope you got benefit from reading it, now let’s go back to puppy chow recipe. You can cook puppy chow using 4 ingredients and 5 steps. Here is how you cook that.

The ingredients needed to make Puppy Chow:
  1. You need 350 grams frosted flakes or other cereal
  2. You need 1 cup chocolate spread with or without other flavours
  3. Prepare 1 cup peanut butter smooth or crunchy
  4. Use 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
Instructions to make Puppy Chow:
  1. Put the spreads in a large plastic bowl and place in the microwave for 40 seconds. Remove and give it a good stir.
  2. Add your preferred flakes and stir by putting the spoon underneath the cereal and folding the choco mixture in whilst turning the bowl. Be patient, you want to get a good coating so continue to rotate and fold until you're satisfied it is thoroughly coated.
  3. Add 1 cup of powdered sugar and start tossing the mixture again using the folding technique.
  4. Now it's all a matter of personal preference - I like to add the sugar until the flakes separate to become individually coated but you might prefer larger clumps, so add the remaining sugar a little at a time and stir in well until you are satisfied with the mix.
  5. You can store this in an airtight container or a zip lock bag, but I shouldn't think it work be around for long! I like mine from the fridge as I think it adds to the flavour when chilled
