The ingredients needed to cook Moong Dal Appe:
- Get 2 cup Moong dal
- You need 2 green chilli
- Take 2 Tsp cumin
- Get 1 pinch turmeric powder
- Get 1 pinch asafoetida (hing) - Optional
- Take Handful coriander leaves
- Prepare To taste salt
- Prepare 1 Tsp baking soda
- Prepare as needed As required Water
- Use 5 Tbsp oil
Instructions to make Moong Dal Appe:
- Clean and soak moong dal for 3 to 4 hours.
- Remove excess water. In a mixi jar or grinder take moong dal, cumin, green chilli and make a fine paste. - Tip - Don't add much water.
- Take paste in a big utensil or mixing bowl. In that add turmeric powder, asafoetida, coriander leaves, salt, baking soda and mix well.
- Grease appe Patra with oil. Now add spoonful batter in every hole of appe Patra, cover it and cook for 3-4 minutes on low to medium flame.
- Now remove the cover, grease Appe and flip it. Now again cook for 3 minutes on low to medium flame.
- Now remove the appe from Patra and serve it with your favourite chutney. It's very tasty and healthy too.
