Instructions to make Ghoogni:
- Soak the cheakpeas overnight
- Boil the cheakpeas in a pressure cooker adding salt, turmeric powder, chopped onion and garlic
- Heat a pan add oil and temper the dry red chilli whole jeera bay leaf and whole garam masala
- Add chopped onion,saute adding salt and turmeric powder
- Now add the ginger garlic paste and saute well till the raw smell disappears
- Add jeera dhaniya powder and red chilli Powder and mix well
- Now pour the Boiled cheakpeas and combine well
- Garnish it with sweet tamarind chutney and serve
