- Take 2 cups besan
- Prepare 1 cup rice flour
- Use 1/2 tsp orange food colouring
- Prepare Pinch asaefotida

- You need 4-6 medium sized potatoes peels & boiled

- Prepare 2-3 chopped green chillies
- Get 1/2 a lemon

- Prepare Handful peanuts
- Get as needed Oil for frying
- Prepare as needed Water as required to make batter
Steps to make Aloo Besan Bondas:
- Make a thick batter with the besan, rice flour, salt, asaefotida, food colouring and water. Set aside.
- Make a mash of the boiled potatoes and peas.
- Fry the chillies, cumin, mustard seeds, peanuts in oil for 2-3 mins.
- Add the chilli powder, turmeric, salt, fried peanuts and chillies to the potato mash. Mix well.
- Squeeze in juice of half a lime to the mixture.
- Apply a tsp oil on both palms and roll the mixture into medium sized balls. Freeze them for 10 mins before the final step.
- Dip the potato balls in the besan batter until it’s coated well. Then drop it one by one into hot oil. Deep fry until it’s cooked all the way through.
- Once cooked remove the bondas from pan. Drain off excess oil on tissues. Serve hot with chutney of choice or tomato ketchup.
