The ingredients needed to prepare Sooji appe:
- Prepare 2 cups Sooji
- Get 1 cup Curd
- Prepare 1 Chopped onion
- Use 1 Chopped carrot
- Take 1 tsp Baking soda

- Get For chutney
- Provide 2 cups Peanuts
- Provide 1 cup Grated coconut
- You need 1 cup Curd
- Provide 4 tbsp Tamarind water
- Get 4 pods Garlic
- Take 1 Onion small
- You need 2 sprigs Curry leaves
- Get 2 tsp Mustard seeds
Steps to make Sooji appe:
- Mix sooji, curd, salt and required amount of water. Make a batter and leave it for 20 minutes.
- Meanwhile make the chutney. Fry the peanuts in little oil
- In a blender add peanuts, grated coconut, garlic pods, onion, salt and little amount of water and grind it to smooth paste.
- In it add curd and tamarind water and mix it. For the tadka add mustard seeds, dry red chilli and curry leaves in tsp oil and put over the chutney.
- Give it a mix and your chutney is ready.
- In the sooji batter add chopped onions and carrot and mix. Add baking soda. Mix.
- Heat an appe pan. Add 1/2 tsp of oil in each, pour the batter let it cook for 2-3 minutes or unit brown.
- Turn the appe and again cook for 2-3 minutes or till it's done.
