  1. Prepare 1 cup Sabudana
  2. You need 1/2 cup Basmati rice
  3. Use 1/2 cup tuar dal
  4. Prepare 1/4 tsp termuric powder
  5. Get For spinach puree,1 bunch of fresh and clean spinach
  6. Use 5-6 whole garlic roughly chopped
  7. Use 1 green chilli roughly chopped
  8. Use For Cooking,1 onion chopped
  9. Prepare 1 tsp ginger nicely chopped
  10. Prepare 1 tsp garlic nicely chopped
  11. You need 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
  12. Get 1/4 tsp asefotida
  13. Take 1 green chiili chopped
  14. Get 2 tomato chopped
  15. Provide 1/2 tsp corriender powder
  16. Prepare 3/4 tsp red chilli powder
  17. Get 1/4 tsp garam masala powder
  18. Take 1 tsp kasuri methi
  19. You need to taste Salt
  20. You need 4 tbsp Oil for cooking
  21. Prepare For tempting 2 tsp desi ghee
  22. Take 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
  23. Prepare 1 onion chopped
  24. Prepare 1/4 tsp black mustard seeds
  25. Use 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  26. Take 1/2 tsp kasuri methi
  27. Prepare 1/4 tsp asefotida
  28. Take 3 tsp salted boondi
Instructions to make Sago and Spinach Khichdi:
  1. Soaked Sabudana in a pot for atleast 3 hours,take rice and dal wash and soaked it also for an hour,when soaked add salt and turmeric powder and boil it till completely cook,when cook coarsely mashed it.
  2. Hot oil a pan add roughly chopped garlic and green chilli in it, after a minute add spinach leaves and cook only for a minute not completely cook and not add salt (if add spoil the colour of dish) after a minute switch of gas and transfer in a mixer jar and make coarsely paste and keep aside it for next step
  3. For Cooking,add oil in a deep pan add cumin seeds, hing, chopped onion, garlic and ginger and green chilli one by one, not to cook anything to burning stage or colour change
  4. When pleasant smell comes add chopped tomato, when tomato cook,add corriender and red chilli powder, salt, kasuri methi and garam masala and mix well
  5. Now add soaked Sabudana and water and cook it for 3-4 minutes or till Sabudana half cook,now add spinach paste in this and mix well
  6. When both cook,add mashed dal and rice mixture and add requiere water for choice of your consistency and mix well and cook it for 3-4 minutes or till it completely cook, when done switch of gas
  7. For tempting,heat desi ghee in a pan,add cumin and mustard seeds and chopped onion, when translucent add red chilli powder, kasuri methi, asefotida and finally add salted boondi in this, now switch of gas and pour the tempting over the sago khichdi
  8. Now Sago and Spinach Khichdi is ready to serve, serve hot for more taste.
