The ingredients needed to prepare Sweet and Sour Chicken:
- Prepare 1 kg Chicken -
- Use 1 pc Capsicum Green -
- Prepare 1 pc Carrot -
- Get 4 pc Red Onion small -
- Get Ginger - 1 finger
- Prepare 2 TSP Soy Sauce -
- Use 1/2 cup Chilli Sauce -
- Prepare 1/2 cup Sugar -
- You need Oil - As Required
- You need to taste Salt -
- Provide 1/2 cup Vinegar -
- Prepare 1 cup Flour/Corn Flour -
- You need 2 pcs Egg -
- Get Black Pepper crushed - for taste
Steps to make Sweet and Sour Chicken:
- Make small pieces of chicken (about 2 cm), boneless better but bone in also ok. Put salt and black pepper and rest for 15 minutes.
- Put 1 cup flour/corn flour in the chicken. Mix well. Put 2 whole eggs in a bowl, mix white and yolk and then mix with the chicken thoroughly.
- Put oil in a pan and heat the oil. Put chicken in the oil for frying. Fry for 6/7 minutes until golden brown. Take the chicken out.
- Take another pot and take small amount of oil. Put 1 tsp garlic, stir. Put 1 bell pepper and 1 carrot, and 3 onions(all chopped in one cm size) and stir. Put 1/2 cup vinegar, 2 tsp soy sauce, 1/2 cup ketchup and 1/2 cup white or brown sugar. Stir well. Wait until the sauce is reduced to half.
- Serve hot with white rice or fried rice.
