- Get 1 cup Horsegram - Soak in water overnight 1/4cup urad dal - Soak in water for 1 hour

- In a mixer jar, add the soaked horse gram, urad dal, dry red chilli and 1/2tsp fennel seeds and grind to a coarse paste by adding little water.
- In a bowl, add the ground paste, chopped chillies, onions, curry leaves, coriander leaves, grated coconut, salt, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, hing, ginger garlic paste, 1/2tsp fennel and mix well.
- Heat enough oil in kadai. Now wet your right hand well and make a small ball. And use ur thumb to make hole in the middle.
- Now drop it in oil and fry in medium flame.
- Turn the vadais and fry till both the sides turn crisp and golden brown.
- Serve the vada with coconut chutney.
