- You need 1 cup urad dal (white split gram)
- You need 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- Provide 1 onion finely chopped
- Get 1 string fresh curry leaves chopped
- Provide 1 green chilli chopped

- Prepare as needed Oil for deep frying
Instructions to make Medu Vada Urad Daal Vada:
- Wash and soak the urad dal. Soak for 3 hrs. Strain the water through the strainer.
- Take a mixer grinder jar, add soaked dal and two tbsp water and grind to a smooth purée. Take purée out in a mixing bowl. Beat it well until light and fluffy with your hand.
- Add cumin seeds, Curry leaves, onion and salt. Mix well. Heat oil in a wok.keep water in a separate bowl. Wet your right hand palm. Make all the Vada with your wet hand.
- Take a ball size portion from wet hand roll it to a ball. Make a hole in centre with your thumb. Leave it in medium heated oil.
- Fry on low to medium flame from both the sides till golden brown. Take out on oil absorbing paper.
