The ingredients needed to cook Dhokla:
- Provide 1 big bowl leftover idli or dosa batter
- Prepare 1/2 bowl gram flour (besan)
- Use 1 spoon chopped green chilli
- You need 3-4 spoon refined oil
- Prepare 1/2 spoon haldi powder
- Prepare 1/2 spoon each sugar and ginger garlic paste
- Get For tadka
- Take 1 spoon black mustard seed
- Take 4-5 curry leaves
- You need 3-4 green chilli
Steps to make Dhokla:
- In a mixing bowl take leftover idli or dosa batter.
- Add chopped green chilli, sugar, besan, oil haldi powder and salt as per taste. Mix it well.
- Take 2 glass of water to cooker or any other steamer.Cover it. Let it steam.
- Grease the tin in which you are going to make the dhokla
- Put the batter to the grease tin. Tap it twice.
- Put the tin in the pre steam cooker. Cover the cooker. Take out the whistle. Steam it for 10 min on high flame
- Check it with knife. If clear switch off the flame. If not steam for again 5 minute
- Your dhokla is ready. Let it be cool for 10 minute. It will come out nicely
- Prepare tadka with oil, black mustard seed, kaddi patta and green chilli
- Your tasty, spongy and jalidar dhokla is ready from left over dosa batter
