  4. Then add the milk,stir & cover with a lid.Let it simmer over low heat for 30 mints till the carrots are cooked.
  5. Add the sugar & stir continuously,making sure that the carrots do not start to stick.
  6. For a thicker khoya(cream) taste, add some milk powder, cardamom powder,stir well to mix & let the carrots cook over low heat for 10 mints.
  7. Turn off the flame & let the halwa sit covered for 10 mints.
  8. Add the chopped dry fruits & mix.
  9. Transfer the delicious Gajar Halwa to a serving plate & Garnish with chopped dry fruits like almonds,pesta,cashews.
