The ingredients needed to make Gajar ka halwa:
- Get 1/2 kg or 500gm carrots
- You need 1/2 lit milk
- Take To taste Sugar
- You need 1 tsp crushed green elaichi / cardamom
- You need 1 palm palm full of dry fruits as per your choice
- Take 5-7 tsp milk powder (optional)
- Provide 2 tbsp ghee
Instructions to make Gajar ka halwa:
- First boil the Milk in a thick bottomed pan and after boiling milk lower the flame
- On other side peel wash and grate the carrots
- Now heat kadai and pour grated carrots in it and saute
- When carrots started changing colour and leaving the side of kadai add milk, sugar and add milk powder and continuously stirring
- Stir till all the milk dried up completely
- Now add chopped dry fruits, crushed elaichi, ghee, stir till you see mixture starts leaving the sides of kadai
- Garnish with dry dry fruits of your choice, serve hot or chill as your choice
