The ingredients needed to prepare Chatpata Mutton:
  1. Use 1/2 kg Mutton
  2. Use 1 tsp Tamarind syrup
  3. Get 1 salt
  4. Take 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
  5. Take 2 tsp Cumin seed powder
  6. Take 2 tsp Coriander powder
  7. Provide 60 ml Hot and sweet tomato sauce
  8. Provide 2 tbsp Mutton masala (spices)
  9. Prepare 1 Onions as reqired
  10. Get 1 Chilli powder
  11. Provide 5 slice Garlic
  12. Use 1 Tomatoes
  13. You need 1 Black pepper
  14. You need 1 Garam Masala
  15. Use 15 ml Mustard oil
Instructions to make Chatpata Mutton:
  1. Add turmeric powder, tamarind syrup and salt to raw mutton pieces and mix well. Please select quantities as needed but make sure that they are just for favouring the dish
  2. In a pan, add around 10- 15 .ml of mustard oil and let it under the heat for around 3 minutes. Then add finely chopped pieces of onions, garlic and tomatoes to it
  3. Cook the above mixture till the color of the onions turns golden
  4. Once the onions start to turn golden in color, add the mixture of raw mutton and other ingredients prepared in the first step to it
  5. Meanwhile when the mutton is cooking, in a separate bowl, prepare a mixture of all the spices (Turmeric, cumin powder, coriander etc) along with 30 ml of hot and sweet tomato sauce and mix them all properly along with sufficient fraction of water in the bowl. Note: Please add all the spices except for garam masal which is to be used in the later stages.
  6. Now, take a note of the cooking mutton and if the mixture is now sticking to the pan or has become like a paste, add the mixture of spices prepared in the bowl as per the previous step and mix all the ingredient well.
  7. Simmer till the mutton is soft and edible. Add Garam masala to it just 2 minutes when the dish seems done.
  8. Serve hot along with Rice or Rotis
