  4. Add tomato and salt and cook till the tomatoes are soft and mushy.
  5. Add all the powdered spices and saute.
  6. To it, add rice, masoor dal, hot water, soup cube and coriander leaves.
  7. Let it come to a boil. On reaching boiling point, put the flame on low and cover and cook for about 12-15 minutes or till done.
