The ingredients needed to cook Khichri:
- You need 1 cup rice
- Get 1/2 cup dal (masoor, yellow moong and chana dal)
- Provide 1 tbspn ginger garlic paste
- Use 1 tbsp ghee
- Take 1 chopped onion
- Use 1 chopped tomato
- Prepare 1 cup vegetable of your choice (potato and peas)
- You need 1 tsp red chilli powder
- Take 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- You need 2 tsp coriander powder

- Prepare 2 1/2 cups water

- Get 1/2 tsp mustard seeds

Instructions to make Khichri:
- Wash and soak dal and rice separately
- In a cooker add ghee, tempering then ginger garlic paste fry a bit then add onions and fry till translucent, then add vegetables fry them for a minute
- Add tomatoes and salt cook till tomatoes get soft, then add mentioned powdered masala cook till oil releases
- Add dal roast it then add rice roast it for a while then add water let it boil then cover the lid and cook in low flame till 3 whistle..
- Serve hot with ghee and pickle.
