- Prepare 1 cup toor dal
- You need 1/4 th cup chana dal
- You need 1/4 cup masoor dal (pink)
- Get 2 tbsp jeera
- Get 3 tsp ginger paste
- Provide 2 tsp garlic paste
- Use 6 tbsp ghee
- Use 3 green chillies
- Provide 3 onions chopped finely

- Take 1 tbsp garam masala
- You need 1 tsp aamchur powder
- You need 2 tsp red chilli powder
- Use 2 tsp coriander cumin powder
- Get 1 tsp haldi
- You need 2 tbsp kasuri methi
- Use 4-5 red chillies sukka
- Use 2 bowls rice
- Provide As needed Coriander leaves
Steps to make Dal khichdi:
- First wash all the 3 Dal's add jeera and 1 tsp ginger paste. Let it boil and then take 3-4 whitsles
- On the other side cook the rice as you normally cook
- In a pan take 3 tbsp ghee add jeera, green chillies, red sukka chilli, ginger garlic paste, salt, onion fry till light brown add tomatoes
- Now add chaat masala, red chilli powder, cumin coriander powder, haldi, kasuri methi and aamchur powder and mix well till tomatoes become soft
- Next add dal to it and add 2 cups of water and let it cook for 5-8 minutes on medium flame.
- Add the cooked rice and mix well
- In a pan take ghee as it becomes hot add jeera and mustard seeds. Let it splutter
- Now add this tempering on hot dalkhichdi put coriander leaves & serve with achaar
