The ingredients needed to make Chicken Tikka Biryani:
- Take 750 gms Sella rice
- You need Whole spices (bay leaves, cinnamon, black pepper,cumin)
- Get Salt as required
- You need 1 kg chicken
- Use 4 tbsp ghee
- You need 1 cup oil
- Prepare 1.5 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- Provide 1 cup Brown onion
- Get 2 medium chopped onion
- Use 3-4 potatoes
- You need 8 green chillies
- Provide 4 tomatoes chopped
- Take 1/2 bunch coriander leaves
- Use 1/4 bunch mint leaves
- Prepare 1 packet Tikka masala
- Use 1/2 tsp Garam masala powder
- Prepare 1/4 tsp Jaifal jawatri powder
- Take 1 cup yougurt
- Use 1 tbsp kewra water
- Provide Few drops Yellow colour
- Use 1 tsp cumin seeds
- You need 6 Cloves
- Get 4 cardamon
- Provide 2 star anise
Steps to make Chicken Tikka Biryani:
- Soaked Sella rice for 2 hours then boil with whole spices and salt. Don't boil completely.
- Now for the gravy heat oil add chopped onion and fry them until light golden colour now add whole spices mentioned above.
- Add chicken, ginger garlic paste, tikka masala, tomatoes and bhunify it well.
- Add water so chicken cooks completely.
- Now add potatoes, garam masala, Jaifal jawatri powder, green chilli and mix well
- Cook for about 10 mins.
- Now add brown onion and yougurt and bhunify it well until oil comes on top.
- Turn off flame.
- Take pateeli add 2 tbsp oil or ghee,add half of the rice and biryani masala,coriander, mint leaves and again rice.
- Now mix kewra water with orange food colour.
- And pour over the rice and add 2 tbsp ghee on top.
- Place your rice on dum for about 15 mins.
