The ingredients needed to prepare Gud ki kheer:
- You need 1 ltr milk
- Prepare 1/2 cup rice preferably small grains(soaked for 1 hour)
- Use 1 cup jaggery or gur(acc.to Sweetness)
- Provide 1 cup grated coconut
- Provide 3-4 elaihe (powdered)
- You need As needed Nuts for decoration
Instructions to make Gud ki kheer:
- Boil milk in a pan.
- Add rice and cook stirring continuously else it will stick in the pan.
- Once the rice is 3/4 cooked add grated coconut and stir continuously on medium flame.
- In another pan add 1/2 cup water and jaggery and allow it to melt.
- Now when the kheer is almost done,add jaggery syrup to it using a strainer to avoid impurities.And remember to stir while adding jaggery syrup else the kheer might cuddle.
- Now add elaichi powder
- And finally switch off the flame.Let it sit for 5-10 mins.Then serve with nuts.
